WorkReady Launchpad · NDIS Capacity Building

Work is possible.
We help you figure out how.

NDIS employment support for finding and keeping a job — Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Goast, Toowbooma & Surrounds. Practical, paced support to understand your work capacity, build your confidence, and take real steps toward meaningful employment — at a pace that works for you.

No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation.

Sound familiar?

Wanting to work, but not knowing where to start.

For many NDIS participants, the gap between wanting a job and actually having one feels enormous — not because of effort, but because the right support hasn't been there. This is for your if you have an NDIS plan and you want to work — but you're not sure where to start, what your plan covers, or how to make it actually happen. Maybe you've tried before and it didn't stick. Maybe the system feels overwhelming. Maybe you just need someone in your corner who understands both the disability space and the world of work. That's exactly what the Work Ready Launch Pad is built for.

🧩

You want to work, but aren't sure what you're capable of right now.

🌀

You've had jobs before that didn't stick — and you're not sure why.

📋

The usual job services feel generic, overwhelming, or not built for you.

🌱

You need someone in your corner who actually understands your situation.

WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS SAY

In their own words.

After all the systems I have engaged with on my journey, you're the first person that asked me what I wanted.

— WorkReady Launchpad Participant

Since engaging with Stable & Grounded, I have found confidence and self-advocacy.

The Process

Support that fits your life.

WorkReady Launchpad isn't a fixed program. It moves at your pace and focuses on what's actually useful for you.

1

Understand where you're starting

We take time to understand your strengths, interests, history, and what work has looked like for you before. No assumptions, no rushing.

2

Build an honest picture of capacity

Together we map what's realistic, what needs building, and what workplace conditions would actually support you — grounded in what's true, not just hopeful.

3

Build the skills, then take real steps

We work through it session by session — practical strategies for the specific things standing between you and work. And we don't disappear once you're employed.

After the Assessment

A plan for building what's needed.

Once we have a clear picture, we work with you — session by session — on the specific skills, habits, and confidence that will make a real difference.

🗣️

Communication & self-advocacy

Speaking up at work, setting boundaries, navigating colleagues and managers.

🕐

Routine & time management

Building the structure that makes showing up — and staying — feel manageable.

🧠

Problem-solving & independence

Handling challenges at work without everything unravelling.

💪

Confidence & self-belief

Backing yourself in real situations — not just in theory, but when it counts.

Optional · Where appropriate

Some programs include an equine-assisted element.

Working with horses offers a grounded, hands-on way to build confidence, emotional regulation, and communication — skills that transfer directly to work. Offered only where it's a genuine fit for your goals.

Your Practitioner

Delivered by qualified Rehabilitation Counsellors.

Rehabilitation Counsellors are tertiary-qualified allied health professionals — distinct from employment consultants and different in scope from clinical psychologists. They work at the intersection of counselling and vocational support.

🎓

Degree-qualified allied health

Governed by ASORC — recognised as a distinct profession in Australia since the 1970s.

🔬

Whole-person approach

Working across biological, psychological, and social factors — because disability affects every part of a person's life, not just job readiness.

🗂️

Counselling and vocational combined

Not just job coaching. Rehabilitation Counsellors assess functional capacity, build practical strategies, and support the whole person toward sustainable work.

🤝

Works alongside your existing team

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Brittany Birch, Rehabilitation Counsellor

Brittany Birch

Rehabilitation Counsellor & Founder

Why I built this.

I've spent years working in occupational rehabilitation — helping people navigate injury, illness, and the complex systems that sit between them and meaningful work. When I moved into the NDIS space, something became clear: the skills we use in rehabilitation counselling are exactly what NDIS participants need, and almost no one is offering them.

Most employment services hand you a resume template and a job board. What people actually need is someone who will sit alongside them — not to push them toward any job, but to genuinely understand what work could look like for them. Their capacity. Their strengths. The kind of structure that helps them not just get a job, but stay in one.

I start by listening: to what motivates you, what's held you back, and what meaningful work actually means for your life. From there, we build — practically and compassionately — toward something genuinely yours.

You deserve someone who actually asks what you want.

Common Questions

Before you book.

Can I use my NDIS funding for this?
Yes. WorkReady Launchpad is funded under Capacity Building — Finding & Keeping a Job (CB Daily Activity). Your support coordinator can confirm this in your plan, and we're happy to speak with them directly. The line item is 10_620_0128_5_3 Employment Related Assessment, Counselling and Advice - Rehabilitation Counsellor
What's the difference between this and a regular employment service?
Most employment services focus on job placement. Our focus is on the person first — understanding your capacity, identifying what will actually work for you, and building the skills and confidence to succeed long-term. We work before, during, and after employment.
Is this the same as seeing a psychologist?
No. We are Rehabilitation Counsellors, not registered psychologists. Our work is vocational and practical — not clinical psychology. We support participants in understanding functional capacity and taking steps toward meaningful employment within our professional scope.
Doesn't IEA already offer this?

IEA is a free, government-funded program focused on job placement — accessed through Centrelink. It's a good option for people who are ready to job search. WorkReady Launchpad does something different.

We work at a deeper level: building the capacity, confidence, and skills needed before job placement — through your NDIS plan, with a qualified Rehabilitation Counsellor, 1:1. No Centrelink referral required.

Many participants use both — WorkReady Launchpad for the foundation, IEA for the placement side once they're ready.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready to work yet?
That's exactly the kind of question we help you answer. Many people come to us at that stage. There's no pressure to commit to employment — we start by understanding where you are.
What is equine-assisted support — do I have to do it?
No. It's an optional element for participants where it's a genuine fit. Your practitioner will discuss it after getting to know you and your goals. It's one tool among many, not a requirement.
How do sessions work? Do I need a referral?
Sessions are 1:1, in-person in South East Queensland or via telehealth for participants across Australia. We start with a free discovery call before booking anything in. Do I need a referral to join? No. You can self-refer by booking an intake call, or your support coordinator or LAC can refer you directly
